It breaks my heart to imagine that such beloved companions, creatures that offer unconditional love and security in our lives, could be considered an alternative source of food. In Canada, we pride ourselves on our values of compassion and respect for all living beings. Yet, shockingly, there is no law in place to prevent the consumption of cats and dogs here.
