Honestly your principal probably won't even look at anything under 50 signatures so don't be let down if after the first day you only have 3 there's always another day of asking tomorrow.  cross the first threshold and be searchable within WhiteHouse.gov, a petition must reach 150 signatures within 30 days. To cross the second threshold and require a response, a petition must reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days.
