Cell phones in schools nowadays are a huge problem, specifically in high school because kids like to bully other students with phones. I am a kid currently in grade 10 and I have had a lot of issues with various different bullies using thier phones to harass me. For example, in my grade 9 year I had multiple people take various photos and videos of me in class without my consent. One kid even posted a random photo he took of me onto social media.  This year, it has gotten a lot worse. I had someone in my English class go onto my mom's Facebook account and screenshot a picture of my younger sister and start harassing me with it. Along with that, I have also had a couple kids pull up my address on Google Maps and either say something like " I'm going to come to your house " or start showing other people my address. The government of Canada had made it a law that students grade 7 to 12 cannot use their phones during class time unless the teacher has okayed it, yet this type of thing happens regularly and teachers are not doing anything about it. Clearly, some students don't think they need to obey these rules and think they can bully other people with their phones. I think that the best option to stop this from going on any more is to ban cell phones from every school in Ontario permanently, not just in classrooms but not being allowed to bring them to school at all.  Bullying and non essential phone use is going on constantly and nothing is being done about it.   If you agree with me, please sign this petition.
