AI art has been skyrocketing in popularity. It is now "trendy" to type in a prompt and just have it generate what people call art. This is not art! So many artists are going to go out of business because these days you can just go into AI apps and say "cute cats at birthday party". This art is not as magical as traditional art. Artists need these jobs to survive. They went to art school, and for what? To just get replaced by AI? I think not. This is also discouraging the beginner or younger artists because they think that their art needs to be as perfect as AI, not understanding that a robot made the art. Again, as an artist, I've seen declines in people buying my art and other people's art since AI. Another point is that AI art just has a bit of a.. dead look. It looks dead inside. Therefore, AI art cannot compare to the real strokes of a persons paintbrush or pencil. This is why I think we need to stop AI art.
