Hello all, I’m making this petition to ban the use of Adam Rubin’s children book: “Secret Pizza Party” in schools and libraries. I have been a nanny for the past seven years, and I came across the book: “Secret Pizza Party” and was extremely appalled. This book incorporates themes and language that teaches children that “secrets” are a good thing to have in a very creepy way. For those who are unaware of grooming tactics used on children; secrets, treats, games, and parties are ways to entice children into participating in inappropriate and traumatic acts. My question is: Why is Adam Rubin’s book allowed in schools and libraries when it so clearly is embedded with inappropriate themes for children? Children are the most precious beings in this world and they must be protected from books like “Secret Pizza Party”. My advice to you is: look up the book or listen to the audiobook on YouTube and decide for yourself if this is okay for children. Once you’ve made up your mind, I highly suggest signing this petition so we can make a change and protect our children.
