1080 poison is a deadly weapon used to kill "wild dogs" in Queensland. This measure has proved over and over again that it does kill native wild life and domestic pets often fall victim.. seccond hand baiting is a huge issue because if a lactating female eats a piece of baited meat it will go to her milk supply which will then go to her offspring and it will take months for it to kill them ... It's a slow painful death and it's just not needed in 2022 .. I'm wanting to ban the use of 1080 and use more humane and more effect ways of controlling "wild dogs" because in Queensland to be very honest with you all over 80% of "wild dogs" actually have very high dingo content and most of these animals have tested to be 80% plus and that is considered a pure dingo .. now if this continues and the "wild dogs" are hunted and murdered they will unfortunately see the same end as the thylacine and that would be a very sad thing for our eco system
