Officer Joseph Crystal has not been able to retain his job on the Baltimore Police Department.  Why, you might ask? Joseph Crystal’s only fault with the Baltimore Police Department was being a law abiding Police Officer.  Now, he is no longer on the Baltimore Police Force, serving the community that he loved to serve, and living in the area that he loved to be in.

Because of his noble efforts to do the right thing, Officer Joseph Crystal was ostracized by many of his counterparts and made to feel threatened and retaliated against because he was honest.  He is now serving on a Police Force 100’s of miles away from his family, his friends, and the city he loved to live in and to serve on. 

I think it is a great injustice not only to the citizens of Baltimore, but also to Joseph Crystal and his family.  He should be able to work on that same force without looks of disdain, but instead with looks of admiration.

I say that we sign this said petition in support of Joseph Crystal’s plight, that he be reinstated on his original force with the promise of no fear of retaliation by demotion or unwanted threats on his life or his character.

Show your support for a true hero! A good cop who did the right thing and was treated the wrong way.  Please, let us stand together and show the support that is needed to bring the attention to this case, which could lead to him getting his job back, and maybe even in a higher position.  If anything, he should be training other cops on how to do the right thing.
