As a campus that supports diversity and inclusion, Ball State University, its faculty, staff, and students should not be funding a company that actively works against equality.

Removing Chick-fil-A from The Atrium will send a strong message that Ball State University stands up for the rights of all their faculty, staff, and students.

Chick-fil-A has donated MILLIONS of dollars to anti-LGBTQA+ groups and supports traumatizing conversion therapy. There is no place for this kind of hate on an inclusive university campus.

As a graduate from BSU, I feel that continuing to have this restaurant on campus undermines the very values of the university. Ball State University should not support a group that is openly against human rights, especially with tuition money.

We are suggesting that Chick-fil-A be replaced with a business that sells similar food without the notorious history (ex: Popeye’s, Lee’s).
