During this pandemic, Baldwin High School students alike have all been struggling to actively do things they love in and outside of school. Recently, It has been announced that Baldwin Highschool will soon begin contact sports, and there has been no word on the music and theatre departments after school activities.

This is problematic because kids who strive in theatre, enjoy what the theatre and music programs have to offer, and the seniors who have been eager to do their last shows with Baldwin Highschool will be missing out. The theatre department and music department can take safety precautions such as wear masks at all times, social distance in the auditorium, limit rehearsals if needed, use zoom for rehearsals if needed so students can enjoy the musical safely with little to no risks.

There is no reason why music and the theatre department shouldn’t be having live stream shows. Please sign this petition to show our school board that Music and Theatre are important too and they should let us perform live streams.
