To who it may concern, 
 
On behalf of Baker University and its athletes, we are petitioning the return of Tanner Purdum’s status as Strength and conditioning Coach along with Special Teams coach for the football team.  We as a group have decided that his dismissal was wrongfully committed and request that he is returned.   
 
Baker University was established in 1858 with the core values of Student Learning, Development and Success, Community, Character and Civic/Social Responsibility.  Tanner Purdum has been an outstanding asset in promoting this behavior among athletes and students across campus.  He has shown that he embodies the name Baker and made it his job to instill this into his athletes.  To terminate him is a mistake that will not only affect the football team but Baker as a University in whole.  During his time here Coach Purdum has helped lead the team to two NAIA all-conference titles along with significantly decrease injury counts through his strength program.  Not only was he a Coach for Baker but he was a player and has bled orange throughout his career.  His knowledge of fourteen years within the NFL can’t be replaced and has been a major asset to the Baker Wildcats.  
 
During his time at Baker University Tanner Purdum has helped more than just the football team.  He has actively been involved in helping other sports programs shape and design their own strength program in order to achieve results across campus.  He has also taken the role of cleaning the weight room, purchasing proper equipment, instructing athletes on how to properly disinfect during this pandemic and has spent countless nights keeping Baker’s weight room a safe place for young athletes to thrive. Tanner Purdum has shown that not only does he want the football team to win, but he wants Baker to develop and win as a family. 
 
Again, we as a group believe Tanner Purdum was wrongfully dismissed from this job and are requesting that his status as Strength and Conditioning coach along with Special teams coach for the football team is returned immediately.
