We are petitioning against Baccuit National High School dress code. It violates a student right to equal oppotunities during the school day. Students appearance must not disrupt the educational process, interfere with the health, safety and decency. Yet, how are off-the-shoulder tops and a few rips in jeans disrupting the educational process? Rather, i think these rules and regulations are disrupting a students right to learn because what they are wearing, might be distracting to the male population of the school. If female students are allowed to wear dresses that 4 inches above the knee, there should be a modification to how students can wear ripped jeans. We should allowed to have rips and frays 4 inches below the knee. I think that school board should acommodate these modifications to the dress code because some rules are a bit extreme. We should allow that students can wear the clothes were they're comfortable but upper clothes should not be too short and also the lower clothes . And dont forget to wear your proper uniform every monday and wednesday.
