Physiotherapists around the world and also in our country, India, do make illegal use of Acupuncture needles for a kind of therapy (supposedly )known as "Dry needling". To remind the folks around,Acupuncture needles pack already comes with a note saying "To be used by a medical practitioner only". In India, the only stream of medicine that is allowed to use acupuncture needles/acupuncture as a therapy is BNYS graduates registered with state/central governing bodies. Moreover, physiotherapists are not classified as medical practitioner per se and according to the rule book should not make use of Acupuncture needles for any use.
