The Issue

Updated 2026: This petition originally began August 2025, when I started hearing more conflict arising from our school district. I began hearing what we can now call moderate complaints, typical bullying, harassment, etc. This petition has now resurfaced as of January 2026, due to the arising - more severe conflicting complaints about our school district. From an Assistant Principal being terminated due to unwanted contact with a minor, to now a Geneva Middle School teacher grooming another child. I have renamed the petition from “Geneva City High School” to “Geneva City School District” as an entirety now. My original post of the petition was focused solely on the high-school; however I now believe it is important to take on the entirety.

When I was attending Geneva City Schools, I was gravely failed by those who were supposed to be my adult guardians. Within just four years, my fellow students and I witnessed horrifying events: a tragically young student overdosed due to poor influences, intense bullying drove another student to take their own life, and disgraceful incidents, such as explicit videos of freshmen circulated throughout the school. Nearly every student had access to their personal information on video. How did this even happen if they claim they supervise every kid responsibly? These aren't isolated incidents—they represent a pattern of negligence in our school environment.

The dangers faced by students in the Geneva City High School district are very real and increasingly alarming. Parents often remain unaware of the toxic atmosphere their children are entering. Many students stay silent, too afraid or disillusioned to speak up about their own experiences. This silence allows the issues to persist unchecked.

The safety, education, and health of our children should be paramount. Yet, over the years, these essential values have deteriorated in our district. The very institutions meant to nurture and protect students are falling short of their duty. The community of Geneva, NY, deserves better.

It's imperative to bring these critical issues to light for the sake of the current student body and future attendees. Transparency and accountability should be demanded from our educational institutions. We must ensure all students have a safe environment conducive to learning, free from harm and fear.

Let's advocate for thorough investigations into these incidents and require the school district to implement robust policies addressing safety, mental health support, and education standards. We need comprehensive programs that educate students and staff on mental health, proper conduct, and support systems available.

It’s time for the Geneva community to stand together and demand change. By making these issues public and pushing for concrete reforms, we can inspire others to speak up and ultimately create a safe, nurturing, and transparent educational environment for all children.

Please join me in signing this petition to demand urgent reforms within the Geneva City High School District to protect the well-being of current and future students. With your support, we can ensure that no child is failed by the system meant to support them.
