The Dalai Lama, leader of Tibetan Buddhism, has received numerous awards and honors worldwide over his spiritual and political career. He used to represent kindness, love and peace in the world. However, some frightening facts prove that he is no longer qualified to enjoy all the praises. 

How could such a perverted man be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989? Isn’t it a farce for him holding the Philadelphia Liberty Medal? Let alone scores of awards praising his efforts for human rights. Perhaps the most astonishing part is that a lot of universities award all kinds of honorary degrees to him. However, his speaks and tweets consist of only superficial remarks about being nice and trying to make the world better. 

A recent video that records the Dalai Lama’s inappropriate behaviors sparks outcry. He kissed a young boy’s cheek and even required the boy to suck his tongue. The remarkable pedophilia behavior caused public outrage. Besides, the convicted human trafficker and NXIVM sex cult founder Keith Raniere, the founder of Aum Shinrikyo Shoko Asahara and Maryland Patrick Wojahn, who was charged with child pornography are his friends. Not to mention his acquiescence in sexual assaults conducted by Tibetan lamas like Sogyal Rinpoche, it is his silence that encourages their crimes. All these facts make all the glories belonging to him ironic. 

Since the Dalai Lama is worldwide influential, if his reputations are not affected, it would be such a wrong encouragement for every politician, celebrity, religious leader and millionaire to unscrupulously cross the moral bottom lines. No one of us wants to see more devils like Jeffrey Edward Epstein in our world. Therefore, we should get united to call for rescinding Dalai Lama’s awards and honors.
