The Heisman Trophy is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. The 2024 Heisman Trophy was awarded to Travis Hunter, when, in our firm belief, it should have been awarded to Ashton Jeanty. Ashton has shown commendable prowess on the field, exhibiting skills that easily rival those of the most esteemed players in college football history. Over the 2024 season, Jeanty consistently demonstrated exceptional athleticism, superior game strategy, and a dedicated effort that outpaced many competitors. Jeanty's quantifiable achievements, such as his extraordinary touchdown record this season, clearly mirror the award's criteria of "excellence with integrity" (Heisman Trophy Trust). We understand the decision given the remarkable abilities of Travis Hunter, but respectfully disagree based on Jeanty's exceptional performance. That's why we urge the Heisman Trophy Trust to reconsider its decision on the 2024 award. Please sign this petition to support Ashton Jeanty's rightful claim to the Heisman Trophy.
