Over the years the students at Aveley Secondary have been hoping for either permission or an official uniform for a hoodie-like type of clothing as the provided jackets have been lacking in providing head protection or have been poorly looked upon by the community. 

Students have multiple times expressed their personal feelings towards the lack of expression and desirability towards wearing the jacket, one of the common criticisms of this have been the lack of protection against elements as rain, wind, and cold weather have all proven to be a big challenge for the jackets to withstand.

Bringing in hoodies would give students and parents a bigger scope on the school's dedication in regard to small problems such as these.
