Don't take away our nutritious, affordable and healthy all you can eat meals!

Veda club provides affordable healthy vegan - all you can eat - meal options on Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-2pm, to students attending AUT university. This introduction has been very well received and popular among everyone. Currently in the main student square (quad) there are no vegan options available to students.

Unfortunately Veda Club received notice as of 28th of May stating that they will not be able to continue this service, because this was causing other "takeaway" stores in the AUT square to lose business.

The reasons why are the decision should be reconsidered:

1) Provides a fast, nutritious and healthy alternative to conventional takeaways 

2) Affordable for students ($5) - This is great especially for some students that only receive $170 from student allowance or even some that do not receive anything

3) Vegan - No animals are harmed in the making of this food, more people in this society are becoming more concious as to what exactly goes into their body. Vegan options are also hard to find when it comes to takeaways and often the one that are available are grossly overpriced.

This petition asks for AUT university to reconsider the decision, and allow veda club to stay in the quad. Show that the university places more importance on health and well being rather than monetary gain.
