The Victorian Government released a plan with an aim to eliminate our Alpine Brumbies- sentencing 1200 Brumbies to a horrific death. Parks Victoria is also planning on shooting our Barmah Brumbies. Brumbies came over in 1788- making them apart of Australia's heritage.

Snowy Mountain Brumbies are facing a similar issue to the Barmah and Alpine Brumbies. Snowy Mountain Brumbies are being put to blame for damages to the forest, although, damages are often caused by kangaroos and flooding- not the Brumbies. The NSW government was originally placing salt blocks throughout the forest (Away from the water), the horses would then become thirsty and before they could make it to the water, they would die from dehydration. They are still planning to remove 90% of the Snowy Mountain Brumbies. 

Removing these animals is like taking down a heritage building. No one would support that, would they?
