AUSTRALIAN DESIGNER SCANLAN & THEODORE REFUSES TO STOP USING FUR EVEN THOUGH THIS DESIGNER IS AWARE OF THE BRUTALITY BEHIND THE FUR TRADE HOW COULD IT NOT BE?? WE MUST DO WHAT WE CAN TO ENCOURAGE SCANLAN & THEODORE TO STOP BUYING INTO THIS 'BLOODY' BARBARIC TRADE.
It is commonly known that China, a country with no animal protection laws, is the world’s largest exporter of fur. It is also commonly known that the treatment and killing of animals on Chinese fur farms is hideously cruel.
I dare you to watch the below links :
Garments made of fur, such as rabbit fur, have been seen in Scanlan and Theodore stores. One has to wonder if you are aware that a lot of fur imported into Australia from China, is in fact mislabelled. Recent investigations have proven that dog fur, despite being labelled as rabbit fur and, in some cases, raccoon fur has been found in Australian stores. Will it be found in Scanlan and Theodore stores?

GEORGE NEGUS PROGRAM (AUSTRALIA) EXPOSES THE HIDEOUSLY CRUEL FUR TRADE
It can only be assumed that Scanlan and Theodore imports the fur it uses from China, which means there is no doubt that the animals killed for the fur garments you sell in your stores, were/are violently slaughtered so you can profit from their pelts which is unconscionable.
Recently a compassionate Australian Fur Designer, Rachel Gilbert, decided to make an ethical stance by deciding to no longer use fur. Ms Gilbert is one of many Fashion Designers who simply refuse to buy into, and support one of the cruellest trades in the world, the fur trade.
By continuing to use fur Scanlan and Theodore is promoting and supporting a ‘bloody’ violent trade which sees tens of millions of animals farmed and killed in the most unspeakable ways.
I ask that Scanlan and Theodore make a compassionate, ethical decision and no longer use fur. To continue to use fur will only attract immense scrutiny by compassionate people worldwide.
