Save Rhinos from extinction NOW
The Issue
We want and need your support to have the Australian Department of Agriculture relax its bio-security measures to allow the easy relocation of rhinos from Africa to ensure their future and save them from extinction.
Every 6 hours on average a Rhino is killed by poachers in Africa. The most recent reports are that there are just 72 Javan Rhinos left and only 80 Sumatran Rhinos left in the world which makes them critically endangered so we need your support to save this amazing species.
The killing of these majestic animals for their horns is completely unnecessary as their horns are made of keratin which could be sourced from human skin, hair and fingernails instead but in some parts of the world like Asia rhino horn is seen as a status symbol and a mythical cure for anything from a fever reducer to cancer which is unproven by doctors.
In 2014, Australian Rhino Project was officially established with a specific target: to airlift a breeding population of 80 white rhinos from their home in South Africa to a new life in Australia. If all goes according to plan, the first batch of 20 rhinos will be transported later this year, initially to a location about five hours west of Sydney at a cost of $70,000 per rhino so we need your help by signing our petition.
In addition any spare money you can donate to the Australian Rhino project would be awesome @ https://www.theaustralianrhinoproject.org/index.php/donate-now
(This is a photo of me at three - I have loved Rhinos since I was a one year old and I love visiting them at Monarto Zoo & Conservation Park in South Australia where I live)
