Recently, UT Austin students have been living through lots of crime in West Campus. Walking through West Campus alone or at night is not the same that it has been in the past. UT Austin students have learned that what starts here, changes the world and we truly need real change. It’s time that the City of Austin invests in safety measures, especially in this high crime area. I’m asking for your support to build awareness in order for the City of Austin to add emergency calling stations throughout the West Campus area. This will expand their network of emergency call boxes from campus into west campus. I hope that this is the start of monumental change that will take place to make our city even safer.
