It is with heavy hearts that we address this petition to the Van Nuys High School Staff and Faculty, to stop the cancellation of the Class of 2020 senior events. In light of other high school’s responses in our area, showing their understanding and willingness to fight for their graduating class- we can only ask the same from the school we have grown to love over these past 4 years. Prom is an event easily pushed back, and completely in the hands of Van Nuys Staff to be able to reschedule. During this trying time, banquets are going to be readily available to reschedule due to the Covid virus disaster. As you sign this petition, or wonder if you should, think of my class who dreamt of these moments since they were bright-eyed freshman. These memories last a life time, and should not be given up so easily. Fight for your students and peers, this is your opportunity to show the wolf pack mentality.  Use #sayYEStoprom to save your senior class experiences from being cancelled.
