Please remove Mr Ashok Swain from the UNESCO Chair of International Water Cooperation, Mac Arthur Fellow at the University of Chicago, Fellow at UNRISD

UNESCO should not support people who spread hate and who divide communities.

Some People who are a threat to world peace, they don’t use any weapon, they use their knowledge, language and their influence of being member of international organisation, being professor of top universities. These people are as bad as those who fight with a gun.

This person claims to hate Hindutva’s hate to minority. In a way he is declaring that Hindutva spreads hate.  For most of us Hindutva is the reason why we serve the humanity irrespective of language, religion, caste, nationality, or any sect.

He seems to be more like a politician than an academician.

Iam not against his opinions intended to protect human rights or lives of others. He can have his own views toward any political party or person. But his intense hate towards one particular group is very strong and it can add fodder to terrorist to target India more.

People will get bad impression about UNESCO and its effort in peacebuilding is UNESCO supports Mr Ashok Swain.

His opinion will send wrong messages that quality of people in organisation where he is a fellow.

Sweden is a very peaceful and prosperous country because of its investment in research, knowledge and technology. These sort of people in are also a threat to peace in Sweden.  These are the people whose writings will motivate terrorist to target certain communities and certain countries.
