The Federal Reserve is a private corporation made up of the banking industry which controls the U.S. money supply. It is central to the reforms of finance regulation put forward by President Obama. The House bill, H.R. 1207 now has 237 co-sponsors, a majority of the U.S. House of Representatives. A companion bill in the senate, S. 604, has three co-sponsors. 

The Federal Reserve Transparency Act needs to come to the House Floor for debate and a vote. And, more senators need to join in sponsoring the Senate bill. Click here to send letters urging these steps in the House and Senate.
