Audit Kindle for Fair Author Compensation

Audit Kindle for Fair Author Compensation
The Issue
I have self-published 10 titles on Kindle at their minimum e-book price of 99 cents each. In 8 years, I haven’t sold a single book or made a single cent. It seems suspicious, and I figure if Amazon isn’t reporting sales to authors, it likely isn’t reporting them to the taxman either. But when I approached the IRS, they weren’t interested. (Claim # 2018-010760)
This is not just about me and my personal disappointment. It's about the countless authors who might be in the same boat, kept in the dark about their true sales figures. Our voices deserve to be heard, and our effort deserves proper compensation.
Kindle has become a dominant platform, with over 6 million e-books available to readers worldwide. Yet, its operations remain largely unregulated when it comes to transparency in reporting. Authors depend on accurate sales data to not only manage royalties but to also understand their readership and plan marketing strategies. Without clear accountability, how can authors trust the sales data they receive?
An independent and thorough audit of Kindle’s reporting system could unveil inaccurate sales records or discrepancies that might be costing authors worldwide their due diligence. Such an audit would not only protect authors but also ensure that fair practices are in place, building trust in a platform that so many rely upon for their livelihood.
Additionally, ensuring transparency could potentially increase tax revenues, which benefits the entire economy. By calling for this action, we’re not just advocating for ourselves, but also for ethical business practices and a level playing field in the digital publishing world.
Let's stand together to request a comprehensive audit of Kindle's systems to ensure fairness, accuracy, and justice for all authors. Sign the petition to demand transparency and accountability from Amazon Kindle today.
Amazon's complete lack of concern over my lack of sales hardly makes an ideal business model; whereas it does paint one hell of a diabolical masterpiece of a scam. The fact any attempts to create any direct links to my books on amazon all expired within 24 hours raised my suspiions even more. They're not adding ISBN numbers to their E-books didn't help. When I discovered typing my titles in amazon's search window stopped bringing up my books I had to tell my supossed readers they needed to add "by James Sarti" to any title if they had any hope of it showing up seemed to since something was very wrong at Kindle.
Amazon advertizes everywhere and threatening to pull their adds is likely all the clout they need for blocking any petition to accomplish anything; In addition they have over 100 lobbyists on their payrole. Still I have to try; if for no reason than to discover that truth...if for no other reason than not to be counted as a good person that did nothing while evil prospered.
If you believe "liberty and justice for all" still is a reality PLEASE try signing this petition and see what happens!
