Adult users of hearing aids in the UK are often only offered plain coloured hearing aids on the NHS such as brown, black and beige. We as Deaf and hearing impaired/hard of hearing people feel we should have the choice of bright coloured hearing aids and moulds that are currently offered to children.

Understandably some people prefer to hide their hearing aids and are happy with neutral colours. But a great percentage of people prefer bright colours to show off their hearing aids and moulds. We are proud to be Deaf etc and do not want to hide our hearing aids. 

We would like the NHS to extend their range of hearing aid options to all adults. Including both hearing aids and moulds. Some adults are able to get different colours but this depends on their locations and only if they request them. Most are not offered them or told they are only for “kids”.
