The Botanica Lidcombe community is home to a large number of families with young children.

There is a wonderful sense of community spirit amongst residents and they are graced with quite nice a park, however it would be fantastic if they could have a playground which would at least be functional and more importantly, safe.

At present, the playground is comprised of equipment which is rather odd, has elements which are just not safe and is largely unusable. The only aspect of the equipment which would be regarded as usable are a pair of swings.

We're not necessarily asking for anything too fancy, just something which would perhaps be more conventional, safe and bring this playground to at least be on-par with any of the ones around Sydney. A traditional slide and a seesaw would be better than what is presently there.
