Many students would like to request a day off from school after Halloween. Any form of negotiation will be appreciated! We are asking for school off regarding to our ability to focus. Halloween is many students of Aubrey Independent School District’s favorite holiday. Sharing the occasion with many friends and family. Its hard to make it to bed at a reasonable time, especially when school’s around the corner. Many students have extra curricular activities which require early morning practices and meets. For us to go to school after barely any sleep will be hard for teachers to teach lessons, and will effect our concentration and ability to learn. Another factor is the distraction of candy. The loads of sugar teens and kids will be bringing to school will distract the learning environment. It’s hard to have everyone stay still and seated, and focus with large amounts of sugar in their system. The last reason we should have school off, is because Halloween is a holiday just like any other. We get a Christmas break, and breaks for other main holidays, except Halloween. What makes anything different? I believe I speak on the behalf of many students and even teachers in the Aubrey Independent School District. Thank you for your time and consideration!
