Johnny D Didn't Kill Ronda Morrison, So Who Did? Reopen an Investigation Now!

Johnny D Didn't Kill Ronda Morrison, So Who Did? Reopen an Investigation Now!
The Issue
In August 1988, Walter "Johnny D" McMillan was sentenced to die for the murder of 18-year old Ronda Morrison. He was immediately sent to death row after being arrested by the Monroeville Police Department. After social justice activist and lawyer, Bryan Stevenson, became involved, he proved that the Monroeville Police Department coerced with witnesses to present fake testimonies that would convince a jury that "Johnny D" committed this crime. After 6 years of sitting on death row, "Johnny D" was released and exonerated of this heinous crime. Can he be completely exonerated as long as people still view him as the killer?
Since this information of a coercion emerged, not one agency has held the Monroeville Police Department accountable for its actions that created a nationally known case of a miscarriage of justice. There has been no justice for Rhonda Morrison's family. Notably, evidence was suppressed during the initial investigation. If a new team of investigators are assigned to this case, they can speak with some of these witnesses who would shed light on who was at the scene of the crime on that Saturday morning, Nov. 1, 1986. They will uncover the inconsistent testimonies of those questioned by the police but released. For "Johnny D" to receive complete exoneration of this miscarriage of justice that he suffered, the Monroeville Police Department should serve with the same effort to find the killer as they did to frame a man they wanted to be the killer.
