Force Tiffin University To Pay Back Students For Fraudulent Degrees

The Issue

My name is Lola Wolfe, and my mother Chanda Hamilton attended Tiffin University's online program Ivy Bridge College in 2008. As a single mother, she earned her Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Ivy Bridge College only to discover in 2013 that the school was not accredited.

Tiffin University's accrediting agency The Higher Learning Commission found  in their Staff Summary Report which they released online, that the illegal venture between Tiffin University, and their investors CEO Paul Freeman of Altius University, and Billionaire start-up investment firms Maveron, Charles Rivers Ventures, and Spark Capital, owners of Starbucks Coffee, Tumblr, Twitter, Seattle's Best Coffee and more, were illegally operating and profiting from an online program targeting single mothers, U.S. Veterans, disabled people, poor people, and ethnic minority.

These parties were forced to close the school, but were never held accountable for the Financial Aid Fraud, Consumer Fraud, Privacy Invasion, and Discrimination against Ivy Bridge College students. While for a time, Mass media outlets such as The Blade, The Toledo Free Press, The Chronicle, The Washington Post, Forbes Online, BuzzFeed, and more covered the story, the students are still being denied their day in court.

Please sign my petition to hold these greedy billionaires accountable, and help restore the broken lives of the disabled, U.S. Vets, single mothers, ethnic minority's, and impoverished students who have been left with fraudulent degrees that they can not work with and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Students are forced to quit their jobs, many such as my mother have become homeless, and are unable to continue in their quest for higher learning.

Students have developed Depression, Anxiety, and even PTSD due to the horrors of this injustice, and how they have been grossly mistreated and stepped on by government agencies. Some students are actively seeking therapy and have been put on medication because of what has been done to them. Students have lost their jobs, homes, self-esteem and in some cases, almost lost their children due to their inability to financially support themselves.  Please support us in our mission to heal the broken. Please sign our petition.
