His influence has permeated far beyond personal boundaries and left an indelible mark on countless lives., myself Included In 2014, inspired by Jack's legacy, I started the Nevada Hemp Association, with robust encouragement from his widow, Jeannie Herer, who was living in Las Vegas at the time. It was Jeannie's dream to establish a museum in Las Vegas to honor her late husband—a testament to his life's work. Naming a public space as 'Jack Herer Square' in downtown Las Vegas would be a fitting tribute to his legacy and a step towards fulfilling Jeannie's dream. Jack Herer's contributions to both the scientific and cultural landscapes of hemp and cannabis are considerable. He authored 'The Emperor Wears No Clothes,' a seminal text in cannabis literature. His relentless pursuit of truth and education fueled the movement towards better regulations and greater awareness of hemp's potential. Official recognition of Jack Herer's impact with 'Jack Herer Square' would not only honor his memory but also continue his mission of education and acceptance.
