Our goal here is simple,

We the people are sharing this petition, amongst ourselves as well as with our state representatives, to influence them into raising awareness to a foreseeable problem. This problem has been identified as a looming condom shortage by the United Nations and New York State's Department of Health, however, it has FAILED to become apart of the mainstream conversation, and despite its small inconvenience, it is predicted to have a large effect on local communities throughout this COVID-19 pandemic and well beyond. The trojan brand claims that if states gave condoms essential item status, it would reduce the long term consequences, being surprise offspring or the further spread of STIs in local communities. The longer we wait on this the absolute worse the problem can eventually become. So with that being said, we the people strongly urge you, to help us as we stand to heed the warnings of our domestic and allied public health experts.

SHARE OUR VOICES IN LANSING!!!

On April 9th, 2020, the United Nations alongside New York State's Department of Health and Human Services began encouraging citizens of the United States to show their support and raise awareness about the looming condom shortage. Yes, the inactions of companies and our public office holders, on the topic of condoms are the problem and are putting communities at risk, while also, enabling the shortage of condoms in their stores. During this pandemic, the two organizations as well as the Trojan brand, have publically expressed the fact that a shortage of condoms has the potential to devastate the public health and economies of local communities around the world, with more data estimating consequences to lead to a sharp rise of unplanned pregnancies, more abortions, possible sexually transmitted infections, increased taxation, increased welfare spending, and also increased domestic abuse.

So please, please sign this petition, in order to restrict and possibly prevent the following events listed above from occurring, while also taking your own personal action to limit the long-term effects of the coronavirus pandemic (The events listed above may not be extremely likely to occur, but are all well-documented statistics and have similar circumstances as the stay at home orders put into place in many states in our country.)
