I am very disappointed by how AT&T decided to double their upgrade fee to $36 (was $18). As an AT&T customer, I pay a lot of hard earned money toward their bill every month without asking any questions.

AT&T issued the following statement to explain the price bump:

"Wireless devices today are more sophisticated than ever before. And because of that, the costs associated with upgrading to a new device have increased and is reflected in our new upgrade fee…This fee isn’t unique to AT&T and this is the first time we’re changing it in nearly 10 years"

I call this a lame excuse to make money on hard working Americans because they have raised their prices on other services.

AT&T stop being greedy and don't make us, the customers, pay for your failed T-Mobile acquisition. It is not our fault that you lost $6.68 billion!

AT&T, you need to drop the new $36 upgrade!
