Demon's Souls is one of the greatest RPG experiences to be released in the current console generation, owing largely to its unique online features.  Recently, Namco Bandai announced that they will be turning off the North American servers, thus removing these unique online features.

The online features of Demon's Souls include:
Leave helpful, and sometimes not so helpful messages to players as hints to treasure, or lure them into traps.
Co-operative play with your friends and strangers.
Competitive play through invasions of another player's game world.
Watch another player's death through the use of blood-stains left and use these as hints of upcoming dangers.
Ghosts appear which are the apparitions of other playing in their own parallel world.
Light and Dark world tendancies - If a large number of players have gotten their world tendancy to dark, yours will lean in that direction, and vice versa.

Without these features, Demon's Souls is not the same game, these features are what make it unique. Personally, I still login to the world of Demon's Souls and see that the game is still popular today, three years after launch; there are still many ghosts wandering my World, and I still get frequently invaded!

Please, don't let them turn off the servers for and remove this brilliant, unique gaming experience.
