As athletes and students we understand the importance of taking the necessary action during this health crisis, but restricting the use of locker room and showers is in fact a step back in the health crisis and the overall hygiene of athletes and those around them. Many student athletes have tight schedules and have always utilized both the locker rooms and showers in order to maintain their personal hygiene. The compensation of removing locker room access will in turn cause higher risk for transmission of sickness as athletes will be forced to use tighter spaces such as bathrooms.
