Australia is a leading member state with United Nation and has been very active in calling out other countries on their abuses of human rights. 

The UNHCR 1967 covenant stipulate that people can seek asylum/protection in other countries on persecution grounds. However, when people flee their countries of origin hoping to start afresh but their hopes are met with xenophobic attitudes and harsh immigration policies in Australia. 

Since  the inception of mandatory detention so many asylum seekers have been left on limbo, with no hope for the future. 

Please help sign this petition for my last assessment for human rights; and I am hoping that Australian Government Look at ways to acknowledge  UNCHR non-refoulement principles.
