Stop The Use of Prong Collars On Dogs.

The Issue

A prong collar typically consists of rectangular metal links with prongs jutting in at a diagonal angle. The ends of usually blunted, so they poke or pinch the dog without breaking the skin or drawing blood. They are considered a aversive training collar for dogs. Animal organizations urge dog owners to not use them. But people still use them for training and discipline. I feel like the collar is cruel and inhumane. If a dog makes a mistake then the collar jabs into their necks, causing pain and discomfort. There are more humane collars and better ways to do obedience training for dogs than use that aversive collar. I consider this a method of torture and animal cruelty. Let's take action today and stop the use of these inhumane collars.
