For far too long dogs have been allowed to be legally neglected and only given the bare minimum to survive. People get puppies and tie them to a tree make sure they meet the legal requirements to not get in trouble and then they leave the puppy there to grow into a dog. A dog that has not been given love, attention, the simple basics of learning how to sit for a treat. They never know what it feels like to be snuck treats by little kids or to run so fast after a thrown ball. They sit there in the heat, the rain, the snow, the loneliness day in and day out without anyone thinking of them. Their owners feed them enough so they don’t die and give them water that is easily spilled. Fleas and bugs are everywhere and there’s no escape for them. They have no relief from their uncomfortable life. So many dogs are tied and forgotten about left to die where they were put. Or neglected just enough to learn to hate people so that way they become the perfect fighting dog. Dogs are not just animals they feel, they get lonely and sad. They need love, compassion, empathy  and understanding just like humans. Help save these dogs from a life of neglect make it illegal to tie up dogs to live outside and never know real love.
