Even though they are their "pets," a lot of careless dog owners mistreat their animals, and some even leave them for dead. All dogs need affection, including Askals, thus it breaks my heart to learn that these animals receive such cruel treatment. Dogs show us kindness. They watch over our home, shield us from intruders, and are willing to put their lives in danger to keep us safe, but what can we as humans do to show our gratitude? Some people take no action! Once more, "They're just mutts". 

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) estimates that there are 12 million stray dogs in the country. On a monthly average, 200 of these canines are euthanized in city pounds throughout the country because they are unclaimed. This needs to stop!! That's why I am making a petition to stop abusing and abandoning dogs here in the Iloilo City, Philippines.

I've always sees dogs here in Iloilo city on the streets begging for food and some are anxious to even go to people. To see how things they are due to lack of food. It's too much for my heart to handle. Though u can't give them all the food I have as I don't have enough to give food to all of them.

That's why we should be responsible dog owners and for those who think they're not ready to take a role in raising a dog. They should give it to others or give them to an adoption center. Without killing. An adoption center that'll be filled with care for the dog. Without a doubt, we'll have a better community as there will be fewer stray dogs on the street and more in the house with loving owners. "There's a reason why dogs can't talk, To teach us that actions and not words demonstrate love and loyalty."
