Many people use this trail, walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, and especially coming up to summer, kids on bikes passing through  often waiting to cross at this spot. The thing is, Lydiate Lane is a busy road at times, and the pedestrian paths are quite narrow, when cars go past quite fast it can be a bit overwhelming and cars do speed up that road much of the time. I believe a zebra crossing would be beneficial for many people here and would also help to calm traffic along this road.

I strongly believe prevention is better than cure, and don't believe that people should wait for an accident to happen before it's acted upon.
