Ask the city council to place noise restrictions on Wanderlust
The Issue
Cottonwood Landing is a peaceful neighborhood known for its lush surroundings and tranquil environment, where families have enjoyed a quiet way of life for many years. However, this serenity has been disrupted by an incessant cacophony of barking dogs emanating from the Wanderlust facility. On average, the community is subjected to over 7.5 hours of relentless noise daily, making it nearly impossible for residents to enjoy their homes in peace.
The noise isn't the only issue. Residents have observed increased traffic, which poses safety risks, and unfortunate disregard for the community's cleanliness, with animal waste being left uncollected in yards that do not belong to Wanderlust. Users of the facility appear on neighboring properties, leading to concerns about property rights and security.
There is a growing frustration among Cottonwood Landing residents who feel that Wanderlust offers zero benefits to the community, only degradation. The establishment's disregard for the neighborhood's well-being puts undue stress on families who value their quality of life.
We propose the city council enact stricter noise regulations for businesses like Wanderlust. Such regulations should ensure operating hours that respect both residents and users, enforce effective noise reduction measures, and establish accountability for the disposal of pet waste within community confines.
We believe that reasonable solutions are achievable if all parties prioritize the community's welfare. Many cities have successfully enforced noise limitations on similar facilities, demonstrating that appropriate restrictions can be both business-friendly and community-focused.
Together, we can restore the peace of Cottonwood Landing and ensure that all residents can enjoy their neighborhood undisturbed. Your signature can make a significant difference. Please sign our petition and stand with us in urging the city council to implement noise restrictions on Wanderlust, preserving the tranquility and safety of our community.
