Jimmy Buffett was not only an extraordinary entertainer, but also an extraordinary American.  His contributions to music, popular literature, and the well-being of our Navy and Marine Corps members is well documented, but his deep and lasting impact on American culture can be seen in the depth of feeling over his passing.

We ask President Biden to posthumously award Jimmy Buffett the Presidential Medal of Freedom. 

This award is often used to recognize great Americans in every profession, and should be awarded to recognize Jimmy Buffett's many contributions to our music and culture.
