For anyone in the service industries, ask your customers if they have brought in their own reusable bags to use, or if they need bags at all.  Many people don't realize that if they buy just one book, or a couple of items, a big plastic bag is unnecessary.  Also, encourage people to go and get their reusable bags if they accidentally leave them in the car.
