Ask for Parking Permits for Merton Street-Toronto Ontario

The Issue

Toronto, Ontario is notorious for finding ways to write traffic and parking tickets.  Any means possible to accomplish this appears to be the M.O.  And most non-permitted streets have a 3 hour parking limit!!

Merton Street, in the Davisville/Mt Pleasant area, is a busy street comprised mostly of single family homes and a few small apartment buildings.  A large number of these homes do not even have accessible driveways to park a car.  And.....the City of Toronto does not allow Parking Permits for Merton Street.

Imagine, as a car owner, being forced to pay a $40.00 fine every time your car is parked more than 3 hours including overnight.  Further, there are no signs indicating the parking time limit!

The City's remediation?  Ask your counselor or start a petition!!!!!!!!!

As we all face the challenges of the rising cost of living in Toronto, residents need to stand up and rectify the City's cash grabs wherever possible.

Please sign this petition as a good neighbour so we can at least solve the problem for 1 neighborhood.  And then we can move on the next one!!!!
