Each year, most parts of the world change their clocks forward 1 hour in the spring ("Daylight Saving Time") and back 1 hour in the fall ("Standard Time") to make better use of natural daylight during the evenings, also known as the Summer-Winter Time Change. However, studies show that this biannual change disrupts our circadian rhythms, affecting our health and wellbeing. It leads to a temporary increase in heart attacks, stroke, and other adverse health effects. Moreover, it also causes confusion amongst people and increases the chances of accidents. Globally, many countries like Russia, Iceland, and more have stopped changing their clocks, understanding its implications on human health and daily activities. It's time we follow their lead.
