For years, the Dodge Caravan and the Dodge Grand Caravan defined the way that families get around. Then in 2019, Dodge announced that they would be discontinuing the Grand Caravan after the 2020 model year. In 2019, FCA (Dodge's parent company) was responsible for 54% of all minivans sold in the US, and the Dodge Grand Caravan was America's best-selling minivan overall. A testament to how popular it is, is that even 6 years after its discontinuation, it is still a common sight on the roads, and one of the most plentiful minivans.  So the question begs why kill it? There are multiple reasons why, but part of it was that They want to sell you more expensive minivans like the Pacifica with shiny interiors and features you don't need. So, let's all ask Dodge to bring back the minivan that ruled the market for all of these years, and say hello to dodge's Ultimate Caravan, a pared back model with the same design principles of the original, without the heated seats or fancy infotainment systems, but with a price tag that might be more attractive to families.
