How did an anti-Israel activist go from helping host a conference for an organization whose speakers have supported Islamic terrorism to being the Director of Intelligence at the National Security Council?

As a friend to Jews and Arabs alike, I believe Maher Bitar is advising President Biden in a dangerously divisive way that supports Hamas and keeps the Palestinian people oppressed under their violent and genocidal rule.

Bitar, of Palestinian origin and anti-Israel activist, has been appointed to the National Security Council and Biden's Senior Intelligence Official (Bitar is the controller of all intelligence information that goes to and from Biden on Israel and Gaza), yet his past clearly suggests partisan radical affiliations with SJP, Students for Justice in Palestine (which is closely related to AMP) and UNRWA, United Nations Relief and Works Agency, making him unable to serve as a neutral advisor to the highest office with a conflict of interest.

In order to make peace, nothing is needed more in the Middle East right now than open-minded, unbiased neutral leadership focused on pragmatic solutions that support all the people of Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, and not just the the interests of Palestinians. 

Letting Bitar control the flow of all intelligence about the Middle East to the US President is like appointing a lobbyist for oil companies to head up the EPA, you can know with certainty he’s not going to seriously enforce EPA laws about oil drilling. (Trump literally did this appointing Scott Pruitt.) Same goes for Middle East affairs.

Given these concerns, it is imperative that Congress investigates Maher Bitar's activities for potential un-American conduct, aiding international terrorism, treason, and violating conflict of interest by giving aid and comfort to enemies of the US through biased advice to President Biden. His position demands impartiality, but his history suggests investigation.
