JRMS Playground Petition Update

The Board reviewed the playground/outdoor space request and, after gathering feedback from a limited group of students (mostly 8th grade), is planning only small updates such as sports equipment and seating.

There are no plans to survey all students and parents about outdoor space needs.

There are no plans to discuss or request funds in the budget for the broader equipment outlined in the petition.

The school is seeking funding only for smaller updates.

Decisions so far are based on input from a small group of students, not the full community.
