Release '123 saat' Asianet sci-fi series for the masses
The Issue
At a time when prime time television was dominated by cliche emotional family drama soap operas, "1 2 3 Sat" provided its audience with a mysterious sci-fi thriller which was way ahead of its time. It was a solid entertainer with intriguing plot elements from a version of "Schroedinger's cat experiment", the occurrence of a mysterious phenomenon only referred to as "magnetic field", and people who cannot be seen, heard or touched and the melancholy of their lonely existence ...
We explore this story in the perspective of three children living in the hill station of Munnar hailing from broken families and issues of their own, as certain events lead them to fall prey to being sucked into a mysterious void by what is referred in this series as a mysterious phenomenon called "magnetic field".
As they emerge out of the said void a sequence of events leads them to believe they are invisible, intangible and inaudible. With no ways to communicate or interact with the world as they know it, the rest of the story involves how they deal with their perceived death, closure from their family and getting by without an adult figure to guide them through while figuring out the mysteries behind their cursed existence.
It captivates its inquisitive audience with its own set of questions that would only unfold as the story progresses. Are these kids dead and experience some sort of wretched purgatory? Are they alone in this world ? What will happen to them eventually ......
This show was way ahead of its time and needed to be revisited in the new era, as a case study and as a nostalgic throwback to the millennials, Help us motivate Asianet to release the series in a digital platform.
