Ashton Kutcher, leader of anti-trafficking and non-profit organization, The DNA Foundation, was just on David Letterman on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, stating that strippers and porn stars are not sex trafficking victims. Watch the attached video at the 9:00 minute mark where David asks Ashton if he can ask a couple of theoretical questions. His comments discount the very work he is purportedly doing with all those donations given to his foundation.
Aston Kutcher Should Apologize to Sex Trafficking Victims and Step Down from his Leadership Role at The DNA Foundation.
Ashton Kutcher, leader of anti-trafficking foundation, The DNA Foundation, appreared on David Letterman on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, stating that strippers and porn stars are not sex trafficking victims. This discounts the very work he purportedly does with those millions of tax free donation dollars given to his foundation every year.
If Ashton thinks strippers and porn stars aren't exploited, prostituted and pimped out every day right here in America as well as around the world, then who does he consider a sex trafficking victim? Since he stated he likes his live, he openly admits he likes strippers best. Is Ashton Kutcher really the best person to be around sex trafficking victims who come to his foundation for help? And just who are the donations really going to if he truly thinks there are no sex trafficking victims in the sex industries?
Those who truly work to help sex trafficking victims understand that it's hard enough to get these victims to come forward, to understand their own victimization. Our country spends millions trying to educate the public about the signs of sex trafficking and how to help the victims. That is what The DNA Foundation is supposed to be doing with their donations and government funding. Has Ashton ever read a single word of what his foundation is about? They sure pull in millions of dollars with the names Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.
When there are only 100 beds in our nation to house sex trafficking victims and not nearly enough resources to rehabilitate them, we need to know why this foundation leader thinks there are no sex trafficking victims in the sex industries. We need to know where all that money is going if there are no victims as far as he's concerned.
By signing this petition, I agree that Ashton Kutcher should apologize to sex trafficking victims everywhere and step down from his leadership role at The DNA Foundation unless and until he learns more about sex trafficking, the sex industries and the victims they produce. Ashton should also attend The Johns School course for training as he has no idea of what sex trafficking really is yet he is in charge of a foundation that is purportedly fighting with everything it receives to end sex trafficking.
